Under the support guidance and direction of the Manager Recruitment Marketing and Onboarding Services the Onboarding Coordinator establishes relationships with diverse partners and helps inform strategies to enhance onboarding processes and improve retention across Island Health.
The Onboarding Coordinator plays a pivotal role in delivering the Pathway to C.A.R.E. employee onboarding program which strives to provide a consistent positive and rewarding experience for each new employee. This program improves capacity for leaders empowering them with clear processes customizable tools and educational resources. The program is designed to improve employee satisfaction retention productivity and engagement while reducing costs associated to training and attrition.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Training And Experience
Bachelors degree in a related field plus 3-5 years of related experience in human resources or program/project management. An equivalent combination of education training and experience may be considered.
Skills And Abilities
- Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills to prioritize and complete assignments and schedule activities in a manner that optimizes effectiveness and contributes to team success.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills - including report writing and presentation skills.
- Ability to foster collaborative and effective working relationships with leadership and staff at all levels in clinical and non-clinical settings. Demonstrates a strong client-service orientation and ability to understand and translate client needs into action.
- Ability to function in a highly dynamic environment with changing priorities.
- Ability to analyze and present data in a clear and concise manner.
- High degree of proficiency with standard MS Office Suite (Word Outlook PowerPoint Excel).
