QA Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Engineer with a minimum of 10 years of proven experience in quality assurance and quality control preferably within QatarEnergy or oil & gas–approved projects. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with QE standards project specifications and international quality standards throughout all phases of the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement maintain and monitor Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) systems in compliance with QatarEnergy requirements.

• Ensure all project activities comply with QE specifications ISO standards and contractual obligations.

• Review and approve ITPs QCPs method statements and inspection reports.

• Coordinate with QatarEnergy representatives consultants and contractors during inspections and audits.

• Conduct internal and external quality audits inspections and surveillance activities.

• Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs) corrective actions and preventive measures.

• Monitor supplier and subcontractor quality performance and approvals.

• Prepare and submit quality documentation reports and certifications to QatarEnergy.

• Support project teams to ensure continuous quality improvement and risk mitigation.

• Participate in pre-commissioning commissioning and handover activities.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical Civil Electrical or related discipline).

• Minimum 10 years of QA/QC experience with significant exposure to QatarEnergy-approved projects.

• Mandatory QatarEnergy approval / certification (valid and verifiable).

• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 project QA/QC procedures and oil & gas standards.

• Experience working with EPC contractors and consultants in Qatar.

• Excellent documentation reporting and communication skills.

• Proficiency in QA/QC software MS Office and document control systems.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple project requirements.

Preferred Skills

• Lead Auditor certification (ISO 9001)

• Experience in oil & gas energy or industrial projects

• Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills
