Description
This full-time on-site position plays a pivotal role in leading our surgical services department ensuring the highest standards of patient care and operational excellence within our medical practice.
As the Nursing Director you will oversee all aspects of surgical services from managing clinical staff to implementing best practices in patient care. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering a culture of safety and quality while also driving strategic initiatives that align with our commitment to patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the surgical services department ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
- Supervise clinical staff providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to coordinate surgical services.
- Monitor patient outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives.
- Manage departmental budgets and resource allocation effectively.
- Conduct regular staff training and development programs.
- Serve as a liaison between surgical services and other departments to promote collaboration and communication.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current WV RN license (or eligible for licensure).
- 57 years of perioperative nursing experience including OR leadership or management roles.
- Strong knowledge of perioperative standards (AORN ASPAN) and regulatory requirements (CMS Joint Commission).
- BLS and ACLS certifications required (or obtained within a defined timeframe)
