Description
This full-time on-site role presents a unique opportunity to lead our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care in a fast-paced medical environment.
As the Director of ICU you will oversee all operations within the unit driving initiatives that enhance patient outcomes and foster a culture of excellence among our dedicated healthcare professionals. This role is critical to our mission of providing exceptional medical services and you will play a vital role in strategic planning staff management and continuous improvement of clinical practices.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the daily operations of the ICU
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance patient care
- Oversee staff recruitment training and performance evaluations
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Monitor and manage budgetary responsibilities for the ICU
- Conduct regular assessments and quality improvement initiatives
- Foster a collaborative and supportive environment for staff
- Engage in community outreach and education related to ICU services
Requirements
- Current (or eligible) New Mexico RN license required.
- Seven years healthcare experience with at least three years experience in a leadership role.
- Must possess a Bachelors degree in Nursing. Advanced degree (MSN Healthcare Administration and MBA) strongly preferred.
- Experience working in a for-profit hospital strongly preferred.
- Experience building a team focused on quality initiatives.
- Experience facilitating relationships with providers.
