Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
Production Operations
- Plan and execute daily production activities as per schedule.
- Monitor productivity output and quality parameters.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower and machines.
- Supervise welding operations (MIG / TIG / ARC as applicable).
- Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
Manpower Handling
- Manage shop floor operators welders and technicians.
- Allocate jobs and monitor individual performance.
- Conduct daily tool-box talks and safety briefings.
- Maintain attendance and discipline on shop floor.
Quality & Process Control
- Ensure adherence to SOPs and quality standards.
- Coordinate with Quality team for inspections and rework control.
- Monitor welding quality and dimensional accuracy.
- Support implementation of 5S Kaizen and Lean initiatives.
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce safety guidelines and PPE usage.
- Conduct safety audits and hazard identification.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate with Planning Maintenance Quality and Stores teams.
- Support new product trials and process validation.
- Prepare daily and monthly production MIS reports.
Required Skills: B.E. Mechanical Engineering 46 years of production experience Experience in Iron & Steel or Automotive industry Strong team handling experience Hands-on welding knowledge NDT certification Preferred Required Education: BE- Mechanical
