Job Summary
Our client is a reliable communication provider in Nigeria offering best-in-class product suites backed by trustworthy dependable customer service.
The company is seeking to hire an experienced IP Core Engineer who will be responsible for managing networks and ensure they function efficiently.
The ideal candidate will collect network performance data monitor network security troubleshoot issues anticipate problems and perform routine maintenance by providing second level support for service issues service design review and network implementation. He/she will ensure efficient and effective functioning of the company network.
Key Responsibilities
Technical and operational strategy:
Proactively scopes the technical solutions required to address network issues assesses network needs and recommend solutions that optimize value for the companys Network.
Investigates test and recommends variety of new equipment.
Ensure all clients requirements are met.
Provide a robust network to deliver companys products and services.
Support IP Engineers for proper IP planning.
Interface ISP for integration and troubleshooting.
Monitor and manage the technical IP network environments.
Service and Value:
Review the design of network diagrams to meet customers needs.
Provide Level 2 network support to FSE service management and existing customers.
In conjunction with the network team develop and conduct transition briefing.
Coordinate requirements for proofs of concept with Product Management / development.
Meetings and Documentation:
Required to attend meetings to address the network issues and business needs of clients.
Review and Document network maps.
People Management:
Professional development of team members and support team in order to enhance product knowledge.
Good customer relationships and knowledge transferable to subordinates and colleagues.
Requirements
Key Requirements:
BSC/HND in Electrical Engineering Telecoms Engineering or any relevant discipline.
7 years working experience in Telecom or IP Service Provision environment.
CCNP ENCOR SPCOR MTCINE PMP ITIL certification will be an added advantage.
Sound knowledge of CISCO and Mikrotik Routers configuration.
Sound knowledge of routing (OSPF Eigrp RIP BGP MBGP).
Sound knowledge of switching.
Sound knowledge of MPLS Implementation and troubleshooting
Sound knowledge of implementing QoS and VPN.
Sound knowledge of IP security and Access Network Infrastructure.
knowledge on LTE Fiber and Enterprise Network infrastructures.
Knowledge on Microwave Radio and VOIP.
Project Management.
Sound knowledge of network operations.
Sound analytical and presentation skills.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Excellent disposition and interpersonal relations.
Adequate technical disposition to guarantee thorough knowledge of services and service delivery platforms.
High sense of professionalism and creativity.
