Purpose
The Supervisor Supply Chain is responsible for leading inventory planning material management and MRP execution to ensure uninterrupted support of the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and overall manufacturing operations. This role oversees material forecasting supplier performance inventory accuracy and cross-functional coordination to maintain optimal raw material availability while meeting Quality Regulatory Financial and Global Trade compliance expectations. The Supervisor ensures that systems processes and planning tools (including SAP) operate effectively to support business needs and drive continuous improvement in material flow cost control and planning accuracy.
Responsibilities
- Lead Material Requirements Planning (MRP) activities to ensure accurate forecasting and timely availability of raw materials components and commodities required to support the Master Production Schedule (MPS).
- Determine appropriate inventory levels generate system requisitions and monitor delivery status while proactively communicating priorities to Receiving Incoming Quality Assurance (IQA) and internal partners.
- Serve as the primary liaison between Planning Purchasing Quality Labs Manufacturing MS&T and Transportation to ensure material readiness and resolve supply-related issues.
- Monitor forecast changes and communicate impacts to purchasing strategies supplier capacity and production planning.
- Develop and maintain supplier performance metrics; identify risks escalate issues and drive corrective actions to ensure on-time in-full material delivery.
- Prepare monthly inventory analyses including obsolete/surplus materials days-on hand (DOH) working inventory and total inventory; manage disposition of rejected or obsolete materials through eMDO processes.
- Identify significant Purchase Price Variances (PPV) lead monthly PPV reporting and collaborate with Finance and Purchasing to implement cost-improvement initiatives.
- Provide guidance and oversight to Inventory Planners (Level II/III) supporting workload prioritization training and development.
- Lead or support implementation of new planning systems process improvements and cross-functional projects related to material management and supply chain optimization.
- Act as a subject matter expert in SAP and related planning tools ensuring data accuracy system integrity and effective use of planning parameters.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Operations Business Engineering or related field preferred; equivalent combination of education and 5 years of relevant experience accepted.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in inventory planning materials management purchasing or supply chain operations including supervisory or team-lead experience.
- Strong understanding of MRP/MPS processes inventory control principles and material flow in a manufacturing environment.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
