The Opportunity
Our Port Kembla Manufacturing facility is looking for a NATIONAL RAIL COORDINATOR in our Logistics Team based in Port Kembla NSW. As a part of the broader Australian Steel Products portfolio we have six major manufacturing sites at Port Kembla that deliver a variety of products innovative solutions and services to our export and domestic customers.
In this diverse and challenging role you will support the VIC/TAS Processing & Logistics team on a national level to ensure our products reach our customers reliably and on-time across the rail network. You will execute transport plans using your knowledge of logistics processes to achieve the safe and efficient movement and delivery of all our products delivered by rail to domestic destinations.
This 12 month fixed term position is a Monday to Friday role which requires 4 hours paid overtime every third weekend.
What Will You Do
Working with a supportive team and providing high levels of service to our customers and operations you will:
- co-ordinate the movement of steel freight nationally through direct engagement of service providers internal customers and other key stakeholders
- work closely with our operations and planning teams to monitor information and priorities ensuring the correct scheduling of products for distribution on our rail networks
- assist in logistics incident investigations and audit reporting and administration and managing safety actions and incidents
- identify improvement opportunities and have a passion for problem solving

Tertiary qualifications preferred in addition to having good working knowledge of transport operations or logistics environments you will bring:
- a collaborative agile approach to support a small team environment
