SAP Master Data Governance

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) Consultant to join a dynamic team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and supporting SAP MDG solutions to ensure high-quality master data enforce governance standards and support enterprise-wide data management initiatives.

SAP Master Data Governance enables organizations to centrally govern and maintain master data across SAP and non-SAP systems with support for collaborative workflows validations and audit trails to ensure consistency and compliance.

Qualifications :

Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead the design configuration and implementation of SAP MDG solutions for master data domains such as Business Partner (Customer/Supplier) Material and Finance.

• Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to define data governance processes business rules and validation logic.

• Configure MDG change request processes workflows UI modeling and validations to support governance and quality requirements.

• Ensure data quality standards are in place through validations duplicate checks and automated rules before master data creation or updates.

• Integrate SAP MDG with SAP S/4HANA ECC and other applications (SAP or third-party systems) to facilitate master data replication and consistency across landscapes.

• Provide production support troubleshoot MDG issues and drive continuous improvements.

• Create and maintain documentation such as functional specifications configuration guides and governance policies.

• Conduct training and knowledge transfer sessions for end users and support teams.

• Participate in data governance councils and contribute to governance strategy & policy development.

• Support audit and compliance requirements by providing data change history quality metrics and reporting.

Additional Information :

Required Skills & Experience

• 5 years of professional experience working with SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) or closely related master data management initiatives.

• Strong understanding of master data governance principles data lifecycle processes data quality and data stewardship best practices.

• Hands-on experience with SAP MDG configuration (data models UI workflows validations) and governance frameworks.

• Experience integrating SAP MDG with SAP S/4HANA ECC or other enterprise systems using replication technologies (IDocs DRF) or middleware.

• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage with business users technical teams and stakeholders.
