The Manufacturing Process Engineer will be responsible for developing maintaining and optimizing production schedules and resource plans to support the efficient assembly of sanitary units for rail vehicles. This role bridges engineering procurement and production teams to ensure timely delivery cost control and quality compliance across all manufacturing stages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage detailed production plans and schedules aligned with customer delivery timelines and internal capacity.
- Coordinate with procurement logistics and engineering teams to ensure material availability and technical readiness.
- Monitor progress of assembly operations identify bottlenecks and adjust plans to mitigate delays.
- Analyze production data and KPIs to improve workflow efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Collaborate with quality and compliance teams to ensure adherence to industry standards and safety regulations.
- Interface with suppliers and external partners to align lead times and delivery schedules.
- Prepare regular reports and updates for management on project status risks and mitigation strategies.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives including lean manufacturing and 5S practices.
- BOM and changes in SAP
- Project documentation (Work Instructions self-checks PFMEA process diagram packaging document etc.)
- Follow-up of online incidents (incidence register file)
- Label control according to current version (configurable management)
- Continuous improvement (tools process improvement etc.)
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering Manufacturing Engineer Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in production planning or project engineering within a manufacturing environment; experience in rail or sanitary systems is a plus.
- Proficiency in SAP ERP systems and planning tools (e.g. MS Project Primavera).
- Proficient in Office suite in particular Excel
- Strong analytical organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment.
