Civil Technician

AECOM is seeking a Civil Technician to be based in Waterloo IA.

This position is expected to begin in May 2026.

The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

• Provides basic support in the areas of project controls surveying scheduling scheduling analysis earned value management and construction inspection activities in support of projects. 
• Activities may include assisting with engineering calculations setting up and operating equipment inspecting equipment and engineering installations for compliance with specifications and maintaining project documentation. 
• General understanding of procedures company policies to achieve set results and deadlines. 
• Performs routine tasks while working under close supervision. 
• Entry-level position previous experience may not be required.

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements:

• Highschool diploma
• Valid U.S. Drivers License required to visit project sites clients and other AECOM offices.
• As a condition of employment selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Civil and Construction Engineering Technology Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree or similar is desired.
• Experience with Civil 3D and/or Microsoft ORD
