Job Summary
The Hostess is the first point of contact for guests in a hotel restaurant or dining outlet. She/He is responsible for greeting guests warmly managing reservations and seating arrangements and ensuring a smooth welcoming dining experience that reflects the hotels service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests in a friendly professional manner
- Manage table reservations and walk-in guests efficiently
- Escort guests to their tables and present menus
- Coordinate with service staff to ensure smooth table turnover
- Maintain accurate guest lists and reservation records
- Answer guest inquiries regarding menu items dining times and facilities
- Handle guest concerns or complaints politely and inform management when needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
- Follow hotel policies hygiene standards and safety procedures
- Assist during peak hours to ensure high service quality
Qualifications :
Previous experience in hospitality or customer service preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Well-groomed appearance and professional demeanor
Ability to work under pressure during busy service hours
Basic knowledge of reservation systems is an advantage
Flexible to work shifts weekends and holidays
