About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists for a highly experienced Production Superintendent with a strong background in diamond processing and metallurgical plant management. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of the plant to ensure optimal diamond recovery and processing efficiency.

This senior role involves leading the metallurgical team ensuring safety and environmental compliance managing production strategies and delivering against key operational targets. It is ideal for a technically astute and strategically minded individual looking to make a high-impact contribution to a world-class operation in Angola.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily plant operations and implement processing strategies.

• Manage plant utilization production throughput and budget development.

• Drive human resource development including training performance improvement and succession planning.

• Ensure quality control compliance with statutory and internal policies and optimal recovery performance.

• Prepare and present reports to senior management.

• Uphold discipline and standards in absenteeism overtime and overall workforce conduct.

• Foster strong client relationships and maintain a positive workplace climate.

• Ensure full compliance with safety health environmental and security regulations.

Required Technical Competencies

• In-depth knowledge of DMS (Dense Media Separation) and recovery circuits in diamond processing.

• Proven leadership coaching and team management skills.

• Advanced problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.

• Sound knowledge of safety and environmental standards in mining.

• Financial technical legal and cognitive competence.

• Proficiency in metallurgical best practices and MS Office tools.

• Ability to manage pressure and lead cross-functional teams effectively.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelors degree in Metallurgy from a recognised institution (Code 8 license or relevant production plant experience advantageous).

• Minimum 5 years experience in DMS and recovery or separation technology with at least 3 years in a senior management role.

• Preference will be given to candidates with 8 years of relevant experience including 5 years at a senior level.

• A management degree is advantageous.

Additional Requirements

• Must have a clear criminal record.

• Willingness to work in remote-site conditions under rotation.
