As an Analytics Engineer Intern you will have the opportunity to work on real-world projects and gain hands-on experience in transforming raw data into high-quality datasets that are ready for analysis. The role combines the technical skills of a data engineer the analytical mindset of a data analyst and working business acumen to ensure data is accessible and insightful for end users.
What Youll Do as a Farmers Intern
This is a full time40 houra week paid10-12weekSummerinternship.
You will develop crucial and highly valuable data analytics skills as well as soft skills through the course of your is an opportunity to work alongside accomplished professionals and gain valuable skills for your future. Additionally you will learn how we use innovation and technology to drive our business forward and through project work job shadowinghands onwork experience and exposure to Farmers leadership teams to expand your knowledge and experience.
Some duties of an Analytics Engineer Intern include:
- Work closely with data analysts data scientists and business stakeholders to gather requirements and understand their data needs
- Transform raw data into clean organized and analytics-ready datasets using SQL Python or other relevant languages
- Contribute to data workflow including data ingestion transformation modeling and validation to enable data-driven decision-making
- Utilizes modern data tools and technologies such asdbt Airflow and cloud platforms like AWS Azure or GCP
- Clearly communicates complex technical concepts and data insights to non-technical stakeholders
- Performs other duties as assigned
Education Youll Need
Currently pursuing a Bachelors (BS/BA) or Masters (MS/MA) degree in Mathematics Statistics Data Analytics or Computer Science.
You must be a student enrolled in anaccredited college during the duration of the internship.
Specifically a rising Junior or Senior level undergraduate student or graduate student.
What You Will Bring as a Farmers Intern
- Ability to manipulate and analyze data to address and solve business problems
- Familiarity with data manipulation using SQL Python or similar languages
- Preferred but notrequired:proficiencyin Microsoft Office Suite
- A passion for learning and development
- Willingness to independently learn and make an impact within a team environment
- Self-motivated an excellent problemsolverand a quick learner.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.

Please note summer housing will not be offered nor relocation assistance.
