Facility Services Custodial Day Porter

The Custodial Day Porter position exists to provide general cleaning and day to day building maintenance support across the campus. Duties include removing debris maintaining common areas conference rooms kitchenettes restocking bathrooms and supply closets and responding to all cleaning Duties/Responsibilities:Performs general cleaning duties to include moving furniture floor cleaning and furniture cleaningMonitors restroom and custodial closets for adequate stocking levelsKeeps outside walkways to entrances clean and free from debris snow and iceCollects and removes trash and recyclables including heavy lifting sorting and breaking down boxes and other itemsParticipates in on-site event set up and tear downMay be asked to assist Facilities Tech and/or Furniture Services Team to assist in repairs and set up / tear downCleans and disinfects restroom facilities as needed and replenishes all suppliesIs responsible for cyclical cleaning of furniture fixtures walls windows blinds sills vents interior glass surfaces windows doors and tabletopsIs aware of inoperable equipment maintenance issues preventative repairs and reports to Facilities Admin with clarity and for timely repairUses upright vacuums wide area vacuums and backpack vacuums as requiredAble to learn and implement preventative and routine maintenance of custodial equipmentMaintains wood and metal finishesOperates washer and dryer machines.
