As a Decision Science Intern you will have the opportunity to work on real-world projects and gain hands-on experience in using mathematical statistical and quantitative techniques to solve business problems.

What Youll Do as a Farmers Intern

This is a full time40 houra week paid10-12weekSummerinternship.

You will develop crucial and highly valuable data analytics skills as well as soft skills through the course of your is an opportunity to work alongside accomplished professionals and gain valuable skills for your future. Additionally you will learn how we use innovation and technology to drive our business forward and through project work job shadowinghands onwork experience and exposure to Farmers leadership teams to expand your knowledge and experience.

Some duties of aDecisionScienceIntern include:

Under direction use appropriate mathematical statistical and quantitative techniques to address business needs.

Broaden knowledge and application of mathematical statistical and quantitative techniques and procedures.

Support preparation of internal/external structured/unstructured data sets to build/rebuild/refreshanalytics.

Clearly communicate complex technical concepts and data insights to non-technical stakeholders.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Education Youll Need

Currently pursuing a Bachelors (BS/BA) or Masters (MS/MA) degree in Mathematics Statistics Data Analytics or Computer Science.

You must be a student enrolled in anaccredited college during the duration of the internship.
Specifically a rising Junior or Senior level undergraduate student or graduate student.

What You Will Bring as a Farmers Intern

Ability to manipulate and analyze data to address and solve business problems.
Familiarity with data visualization and SQL for data preparation and analysis.
Preferred but not required:proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
A passion for learning and development.
Willingness to independently learn and make an impact within a team environment.
Self-motivated an excellent problemsolverand a quick learner.
Good verbal and written communication skills.

Hybrid Locations

Please note summer housing will not be offered nor relocation assistance.
