LSS Electrical Test Engineer

You will have had exposure to Electrical/Electronic testing previously and will be ready to learn and develop within our niche industry. Required skills and experience:

• Bachelors degree/HNC in Electrical Engineering Electronics or a related technical field.

• Experience in testing preferably within the life safety and security sector.

• Familiarity with EN54 standards and regulatory requirements is highly desirable.

• Hands-on experience with test setup tools instrumentation and software for automated and manual testing.

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Excellent verbal and written communication and teamwork skills.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

The LSS Test Engineer role will be responsible for setting up developing and executing tests in accordance with EN54 standards for fire detection and fire alarm systems to ensure product compliance and reliability.

Key activities:

• Implement test plans and procedures for life safety and security products specifically aligned with EN54/IEC 60068 standards.

• Utilise specialised tools and equipment to configure and execute comprehensive testing protocols.

• Analyse test data identify issues and collaborate with engineering teams and customers to resolve failures and non-compliance.

• Maintain detailed documentation of test results processes and compliance reports in accordance to UKAS 17025.
