Job Description Summary
The Cleanroom Technician plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity of pharmaceutical production environments. This position is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing GMP-controlled labs where medications are produced ensuring strict adherence to contamination control protocols. The technician follows specialized procedures to prevent cross-contamination between batches complies with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and consistently wears appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

8:00PM - 4:30AM
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform routine and periodic sanitization of cleanroom environments including labs controlled areas and support spaces.
- Execute specialized cleaning tasks such as:
- Floor sanitization using cleanroom-rated equipment and disinfectants
- Surface cleaning with IPA (isopropyl alcohol) on doors frames partitions and glass
- Vacuuming with cleanroom-rated vacuums
- Tack-mat replacement and cleaning beneath mats
- Ceiling wall and vent sanitization using approved cleanroom tools
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP) to ensure accurate record-keeping of all cleaning activities.
- Complete electronic cleaning logs and review daily for compliance.
- Rotate and apply disinfectants according to established sanitization schedules.
- Maintain organization and inventory of sanitization supplies gowning articles and disinfectants.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Quality and GMP Operations teams to coordinate cleaning schedules that support production timelines.
- Participate in required training on disinfectant use cleanroom equipment and safety procedures.
- Adhere to Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) guidelines and consistently wear full cleanroom PPE (gown mask gloves shoe covers goggles/face shield).
- Report facility or equipment issues (e.g. clogged drains damaged flooring lighting defects) promptly to supervisors.
- Support waste removal and receptacle sanitization in GMP areas.
- Perform additional sanitization or corrective cleaning as directed to address microbial contamination excursions.
- Work flexible schedules including weekends holidays and overtime as required.
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1 years of experience in a biopharmaceutical GMP-controlled environment preferably in cleanroom sanitization.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise work instructions.
- Excellent attendance record and reliability.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Highly organized with strong record-keeping skills.
- Ability to lift and move 50 pounds frequently.
- Proficiency with basic business computer applications.
- Professional demeanor and customer service orientation.
Required Physical Abilities
- No make-up nail polish or jewelry permitted in GMP process areas.
- Majority of work performed fully gowned in cleanroom PPE for extended periods.
- Ability to perform sanitization activities using ceiling mops wall mops floor mops and wipers.

The compensation for the position is: $23.76 - $27.95
