We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Manager Regulatory Compliance.

Youll play a key role in providing advice and when needed challenge business decisions based on a thorough understanding of key trends opportunities and threats impacting the Regulatory Compliance function. Youll need to form an effective partnership with the Global Trade Solutions business to drive and accelerate the execution of Regulatory Compliance programmes that directly impact business performance. Youll also contribute to the implementation of policies into the Global Trade Solutions business and as such work in close collaboration with various Risk and Global Trade Solutions business functions.

In this role youll:

  • Contribute to the provision of advisory services to Global Trade Solutions to support a clear understanding of Regulatory compliance risk exposure with respect to clients transactions and products and assist senior management in decision-making so they can meet their strategic objectives
  • Ensure all policies procedures principles and dispensations etc. are updated for changes in Regulation and impacts on business
  • Resolve any/all identified issues promptly and escalate concerns to management as appropriate to ensure timely awareness of any material concerns
  • Maintain an effective control framework to ensure compliance with all relevant external laws and regulations internal codes and policies and good market practices
  • Strengthen knowledge of risk and compliance management by incorporating risk and compliance considerations in all activities undertaken to protect and enable the business activities through a robust risk management understanding
  • Maintain awareness of operational risk within assigned portfolio and minimise the likelihood of it occurring including its identification assessment mitigation and control loss identification and reporting

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Regulatory Governance - Developing implementing administering enforcing new rules/decisions and reviewing/revising regulation on a periodic basis to ensure relevant to current business landscape
  • Business and Cross-Functional Partnering - Engaging stakeholders and working together across the business or other functions to effectively to achieve desired outcomes
  • Strategic Thinking and Commercial Acumen - Thinking conceptually imaginatively and systematically to achieve a set of tasks or goals
  • Product and Technical Knowledge broad knowledge of trade finance products such as letters of credit guarantees supply chain finance and open account solutions is preferable and an awareness of digital platforms and automation trend in trade solutions
  • Global Economic Impact - Interpreting global economic trends and understanding the impact that they have on the needs of our clients
