PRIMARY PURPOSE AND FUNCTION:
The assembler is responsible for assembling various styles of finished bi-fold closet doors and sliding closet doors.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge/Skills:Have basic math skills read a tape measure. Must have a cooperative attitude strong attention to detail and the ability to work as a team.
Communication Skills:The associate must possess basic oral and written communication skills in order to communicate with supervisors and co-workers. Reading skills are necessary to ensure correct parts are being used to assemble product.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Mental Effort:There is mental effort as a result of requirements to pay close attention to details. Must be able to work in a team. Work performed has some variety but changes are infrequent.
Physical Effort:The assembler stands for long periods at a time. Must be able to lift up to 25lbs consistently and up to 100-lbs occasionally with assistance.
Working Conditions: Plant environment with regular exposure to uncomfortable physical factors.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Operate a semi-automated assembly table to assemble product.
2. Cut product to size using bandsaw or other cutting machine.
Prior Experience:6 months of manufacturing experience.
- Performs visual quality check on product.
- Maintain cleanliness of work area.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Any other related duties that may be requested by management.
NATURE AND SCOPE OF POSITION:
The position of Assembler is an individual contributor responsible for work assigned by management. Reports directly to their specific Lead or Supervisor but also receives direction from the Plant Manager. The associate interacts with co-workers and supervisors.
