Description
Lockton has a great opportunity for an experienced IBA Claims Technician to join our ever-growing team in the city.
Role Responsibilities
- Primary ownership of a time critical project to clear open (marine & non-marine) claim transactions on the ledger.
- Ability to understand & interrogate ledger transactions contained within Brokasure Desktop (BD).
- Perform data entry within BD to update the ledger as & where required.
- Undertake credit control actions; liaising closely with both IBA placing claims & legal teams.
- Utilise market experience to identify actions necessary to progress each ledger item through to resolution.
- Routinely analyse the data set; undertake and communicate a strategy aimed at removing transactions and which performs to project deadlines.
- Interact with internal systems to create claim files perform document searches and adhere to pre-defined actions / workflow processes.
- Engage with internal & external stakeholders to resolve queries / challenges arising.
- Capture actions taken to record progress. Report to Head of Transportation Claims & Transportation Operations Lead on a weekly basis.
- Preparation of monthly statistical reporting for presentation / consideration by the Executive Committee members.
- Ability to work independently notwithstanding full support provided.
Candidate Profile
Candidate Profile
Familiarity with insurance market general claim practices.
Familiarity of working with ledgers / allocation of funds / IBA teams.
Claim processing / data entry via Brokasure Desktop IMR & ECF.
Experience of previous IBA / technical processing roles would be advantageous.
Demonstrate an analytical mindset in identifying and pursuing necessary actions.
