Ingredion is looking for a motivated Purchasing Intern to join our Purchasing team and gain hands-on experience in a global collaborative environment. This role offers the opportunity to support key purchasing operations while developing foundational skills in procurement supplier management and cross-functional collaboration.

As a Purchasing Intern you will support the Purchasing Department by executing transactional purchasing activities while gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

This role reports to the Associate Manager Purchasing USCA and works closely with Procurement Operations Accounts Payable and other Buyers.

What will you do:

• Process Purchase Orders based on approved Purchase Requisitions.
• Work to meet established KPI targets.
• Communicate with suppliers when needed to follow up on Purchase Orders and ensure timely deliveries.
• Maintain supplier contact information in internal systems and coordinate with Vendor Management to update vendor data when required.
• Ensure compliance with key purchasing policies and procedures.
• Liaise with Procurement Operations to resolve issues risks and dependencies related to Purchase Requisitions Purchase Orders vendor communications and vendor invoices.
• Work closely with Accounts Payable to resolve invoice discrepancies.

What you will bring:

• Bachelors degree in Business Supply Chain Management or a related discipline.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
• Any prior procurement or purchasing experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
