Key Responsibilities
- Lead the organizations accounting and finance function including general ledger close financial reporting and compliance
- Supervise and develop a small internal finance team covering billing A/R payroll and related functions
- Ensure accuracy consistency and strong controls across financial processes
- Provide clear and actionable financial reporting to senior leaders and operational partners
- Serve as a handson leader while helping elevate processes and best practices over time
- Partner with external advisors and support audit tax and regulatory needs
- Participate in finance systems optimization and future enhancements as the organization evolves
Required Background
- CPA required
- Experience in professional services environments (law firm experience highly relevant but not required)
- 7 years of progressive accounting and finance experience
- Prior experience in a leadership role such as Controller Assistant Controller or Accounting Manager
- Strong foundation in financial reporting controls and operational accounting
- Comfort working in a timeandbilling or servicesbased business model
- Ability to communicate financial information effectively to nonfinance stakeholders
