Job Summary
Introduction
A leading technology solutions provider focused on bespoke solutions for financial services is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join their team in Cape Town. They pride themselves on a people-first culture technical excellence and long-term partnerships with clients.
Duties & Responsibilities
This role is for someone passionate about streamlining software delivery automating infrastructure and ensuring system reliability. You will work closely with software engineers and architects to support continuous delivery and operational excellence
What you need to have experience in:
- Hands-on DevOps Engineering experience
- PowerShell scripting
- Creating and optimising Docker images
- Source control using Git
- Build and deployment scripting ( 8 and )
- Implementing CI/CD pipelines
- Networks and Internet (TCP/IP DNS http routing firewalls etc.)
- At least one of the major cloud providers (preferably Azure)
- Terraform in the provisioning of complex cloud infrastructure
- Kubernetes resources and developing YAML resource files

- Work alongside the Senior DevOps Architect to build and evolve modern DevOps practices across teams.
- Enable seamless CI/CD pipelines that power fast reliable releases.
- Keep cloud and infrastructure environments scalable secure and high performing.
- Eliminate manual work through smart automation that saves time and effort.
- Tackle build deployment and infrastructure challenges hand-in-hand with developers.
- Strengthen observability with robust monitoring logging and alerting.
- Document standards and processes to support shared knowledge and consistency.
- Help shape system architecture with an eye on scalability reliability and tooling.
- Champion DevSecOps by integrating security throughout the development lifecycle
- Continuously explore new DevOps tools and trends to drive ongoing improvement
