Your role and responsibilities

Imagine a role where no two days are the same.

Youll be the backbone of our operations ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. From uploading planning documents and keeping databases accurate to managing financial tasks like processing payments invoices and tracking budgets your attention to detail will make a real difference. Youll be the friendly voice on the phone and the helpful reply in the inbox providing guidance to colleagues and the public while resolving queries with confidence. One moment you might be issuing Street Works Permits and recording details on Aurora the next organising meetings booking rooms and making sure everyone is prepared. Youll contribute ideas in team discussions help design and improve systems and create more efficient processes for all.

As the first point of contact youll offer a warm welcome and practical advice all while collaborating with a supportive team that values your input and celebrates your successes. Every day brings opportunities to learn grow and make a positive impact.

You will need

  • Level 3 qualification in an appropriate subject i.e. Business Administration or Customer Services or experience with office and financial procedures - whether youve worked in administration customer service or another role where organisation and accuracy matter.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook) and keeping records up to date.
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal so you can share information clearly and support colleagues and customers.
  • The ability to plan and organise your own workload taking responsibility for getting things done.
  • A friendly professional approach when dealing with queries from the public even when situations are challenging.
  • A positive attitude and a flexible team-focused mindset- ready to help others and adapt to new tasks.

We practice hybrid working a minimum office attendance of two days a week. This may be higher initially to aid training in the role
