We are seeking a hands-on Accountant to manage the full local accounting function of the Bulgarian legal entity. The role is responsible for accurate statutory accounting and tax compliance in line with local legislation monthly financial reporting to the foreign parent company and close cooperation with the HQ finance team. The position requires strong technical accounting expertise high reporting discipline and clear effective communication in an international business environment.

THE JOB
- Manage end-to-end accounting for the Bulgarian legal entity
- Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial statements
- Ensure accuracy timeliness and compliance with Bulgarian accounting and statutory requirements
- Maintain general ledger reconciliations accruals and month-end close
- Act as accounting signatory for statutory books in Bulgaria
- Deliver structured financial reporting to foreign HQ in line with group standards
- Support HQ with reconciliations explanations and ad-hoc financial analysis (IFRS knowledge is a plus)
- Ensure full compliance with Bulgarian tax legislation (CIT VAT & VIES WHT other filings)
- Coordinate tax audits and liaise with tax authorities auditors and external advisors
- Manage and support a local Accounting Assistant and continuously improve accounting processes
THE PERSON
- Degree in Accounting Finance or a related field
- Strong knowledge ofaccounting and financial principles
- Solid understanding offinancial statementsand reporting
- Experience in acommercial companyenvironment
- Experience withmonthly closing and reportingto a foreign or group HQ
- IFRS knowledge is a strong advantage
- Native Bulgarian&Fluent English(written and spoken) daily communication with foreign HQ
- Hands-on practical and detail-oriented
- Direct clear and straightforward communicator
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Reliable team player who works well in a small local team
- Comfortable working independently while aligning with HQ expectations
