Johns Hopkins All Childrens Hospital is a premiere clinical and academic health system providing expert pediatric care for infants children and teens with some of the most challenging medical problems. With more than half of the 259 beds in our teaching hospital devoted to intensive care level services we are the regional pediatric referral center for Floridas west coast. Physicians and community hospitals count on us to care for critically ill patients and perform complex surgical procedures.

About our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU):

Johns Hopkins All Childrens Hospital is home to a 97-bed level IV neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) offering the highest level of care. The team in our NICU is dedicated to treating infants who need the highest level of care and is led by two Nurse Managers. Led by a team of more than 25 neonatologists experienced in treating the most challenging cases our NICU team provides the most advanced life support and monitoring technology for premature and critically ill infants.

What you will do:

The NICU Clinical Manager provides oversight of the day to day operations of the department. She/he analyzes develops and implements methods and systems to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness of addition the Clinical Manager creates an environment that promotes the provision of patient centered specialized and evidence based nursing care across the continuum through an inter-professional approach to treatment research education and advocacy. Accountable for the quality outcomes of the unit(s) or cost center(s); Participates and develops quality improvement processes to include goals and performance measurements and leading teams to excellence. Ensures service excellence expectations are understood by all unit(s); staff are properly trained on core position contributes to the goals of the department and the Department of Nursing. Develops collaborative relationships with physicians advanced practice providers and other team members and departments.

Who should apply:

  • Current licensure in the State of Florida as a Registered Nurse
  • Certification in specialty
  • Minimum of two years experience at the supervisor level
  • Basic Life Support American Heart Association Certifications

Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
