Job Summary

What Were Looking For:

The Environmental Health & Safety Engineer coordinates environmental health and safety policies completes workplace and equipment inspections and implements and manage workplace safety programs.

What You Will Do:

  • Ensuring compliance:Ensuring compliance with federal state and local EHS regulations
  • Managing programs:Managing EHS programs policies and procedures
  • Training employees:Coordinating occupational safety training for employees
  • Responding to emergencies:Responding to EHS emergencies
  • Conducting inspections:Completing workplace and equipment inspections
  • Investigating incidents:Conducting employee incident investigations
  • Monitoring exposure:Monitoring exposure to hazardous chemicals
  • Tracking incidents:Tracking the number of incidents and producing reports
  • Collaborating with departments:Working collaboratively with different departments to ensure workplace safety
  • Oversees all Hazardous Chemical processing of waste in compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Assisting with government inspections:Assisting with any government inspections
  • Manage and complete all waste streams based on all EPA regulations
  • Lead internal Safety Committee
  • Work Cross functional with department heads to ensure compliance

Who You Are:

  • A Bachelor of Science degree
  • Specialization in Occupational Safety and Health or Environmental Health Environmental Sciences
  • RCRA Certification
  • DOT Hazmat Certification
  • OSHA Certification
  • Strong analytical interpersonal written and oral communication skills
