Job Summary

The Johns Hopkins HospitalsCardiac Care Unitis a 12-bed Intensive Care Unit. The staff care for patients with acute myocardial infarction and complications including cardiogenic shock post-infarction angina and congestive heart failure. We also care for many other critically ill patients suffering from severe cardiomyopathies valvular heart disease and life-threatening arrhythmias. This is a cardiac medicine unit therefore patients post- CABG valve replacements transplant LVAD placement are transferred to the CVSICU (Surgical ICU) for recovery.

Shift: Rotating 12-hour shifts/40-hours/week with self-scheduling

Requirements:

  • Must have been RN III for at least 6 months
  • BLS and active license at time of hire
  • Applicants with an Associates degree in nursing from an accredited program may be considered provided they are enrolled in an accredited BSN/MSN within 1 year of hire and complete the degree within 5 years

Salary Range: Minimum 46.57/hour - Maximum 72.18/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
