Within Central Engineering dedicated to Rolling Stock & Component in the Train Design Office Department we are looking for a Mechanical Engineer for Catering Scope.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITES :
- Create technical referential for Catering scope from architecture point of view
- Support to push the standard solution on tenders
- Ensure project execution in coherence with internal rules & catalog solutions
- Manage functionally team of CAD & Engineer internal or/and external
Off cycle phase
- Gather existing catering architectures and solutions
- Select & write technical referential based on the best tradeoff between internal rules and customer requirements
During Tender Phase
- Ensure the correct definition design performances and integration of Catering scope
- Analysis of customer requirements
- Secure architecture and allocated volumes in collaboration with Train Architecture Manager & the Bid Technical Manager
- Support mechanical subsystem engineer within supplier technical proposals
- Contribute to write Technical Assessment on the technical proposals to commit including the correct integration of the system on train
- Deliver/Contribute to technical descriptions
During Project Phase
- Ensure the correct definition design performances and integration of Catering scope:
- Analysis of customer requirements
- Support writing the Technical Purchasing Specification in collaboration with the TAM
- Prepare activities of CAD & Mechanical Engineers (Fitting scope Interior Scope Build to Spec scope within catering area)
- Check the interface maturity with train environment
- Organize design / verification reviews & provides associated report
- Ensure the quality of the deliverables
- Support Mechanical SubSystem Engineer during design & suppliers review
PROFILE:
- To be considered for this role candidate need to demonstrate the following skills experience and attributes:
- Graduated with a master degree preferably in mechanical you have a strong expertise on railway (minimum 5 years).
- Strong knowledge of mechanical design including use of CAD tools
- You demonstrate good communication and organizational skills (ability to meet deadlines). You are result oriented and show intellectual curiosity and creativity.
- Ability to manage several tenders or/and projects at the same time.
- Fluent in English you are eager to work with autonomy in an international environment and to face the challenges of the new Alstom
