The Position

We are seeking a PhD Student in Single Cell Technologies to join the Institute of Human Biology (IHB) in Basel Switzerland. Join us and expand expertise in generation and integrated computational analyses of high-throughput high-information-content data focusing on complex human model systems.

The Opportunity

We invite you to develop a research direction on integrative analyses of single-cell sequencing and imaging data for exploratory and translational this role you will:

  • Develop integrated computational analyses of single-cell sequencing and imaging data

  • Contribute to exploratory and translational research using complex human model systems

  • Work on diverse tissues and topics including development and disorders of the central nervous system

  • your skills to cell programming and perturbation screens

  • Join a highly collaborative research environment and expand your computational expertise

Who You Are

To be successful in this role you should have the following required qualifications

  • . in computational biology bioinformatics biotechnology or a related degree (Required)

  • Strong experience in single-cell and spatial multiomic data generation and/or analysis (Required)

  • Prior training and/or experience in machine learning (Preferred)

  • A drive to understand organoids and other complex models of human biology and disease

  • A desire to work within a highly collaborative research environment
