Position Purpose:
As a skilled Culinary Professional produces a safe and high-quality food product according to established guidelines systems and recipes. Maintains a clean sanitized and organized work environment. Committed tocustomerand patient satisfaction.Communicatesdaily with supervisors and other team members effectively in a supportive and helpful way.Personsin this classification may be responsible for batch large quantity and short order types of cooking.
WhatYouWillDo:
Communicates and reviews menu and special orders daily with supervisors and other team members in a professional and supportive manner to determine production schedule and quantities of food items to be prepared for the day. Follows standardized recipes in preparation of all foods.
Reads production tally/menu and organizes workload to have food items prepared by the specified deadlines in sufficient quantity. Maintains proper workflow when line cooking.
Adheres to all applicable guidelines regarding the storage handling and preparation of food as well as in the sanitation and maintenance of work area.
Reports problems with equipment to supervisor.
Ensures food preparation areas are clean sanitized and orderly always. Utilizes proper chemical and cleaning/sanitation techniques.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High school Graduate or 1-year equivalent experience with commercial production food service.
Must have basic math skillsto including addition subtraction and simple multiplication.
Must know how to read write and speak English.
Licensure / Certification: Food handlers certification within 6 months of hire
Experience: Relevant work experience in a hospital setting large institution or Commercial kitchen preferred
Effective Communication Skills and customer service skills
