Position Summary:
The Pharmacy Financial Analyst is responsible for gathering analyzing and interpreting financial and operational data to support pharmacy and organizational initiatives. This role defines problems identifies trends and synthesizes results into clear actionable summary reports. The analyst applies a variety of analytical methods and approaches depending on the project or initiative with a strong focus on accuracy timeliness and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather validate and analyze financial and operational pharmacy data
- Define problems identify trends and provide meaningful insights to support decision-making
- Prepare clear and concise summary reports and presentations for leadership
- Support monthly financial close activities under tight deadlines
- Utilize advanced analytical tools and methods tailored to specific projects or initiatives
- Collaborate with pharmacy finance and other interdisciplinary teams as needed
- Ensure accuracy consistency and integrity of financial data and reporting
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance required
Experience:
- Minimum of three (3) years of accounting or financial experience required
- Healthcare experience preferred
- Strong understanding of financial reporting
- Advanced computer skills required particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel including:
- Sorting importing and exporting data
- Use of formulas and lookups
- Manipulating and analyzing large data files
Skills & Qualifications:
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Highly organized analytical and results-oriented
