Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient General Cashier to join our team at NH Sandton in Johannesburg South Africa. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing cash operations ensuring accurate financial records and maintaining compliance with banking regulations.
- Handle daily cash transactions including deposits withdrawals and transfers
- Reconcile cash balances and maintain accurate financial records
- Prepare and verify cash reports for management review
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in cash accounts
- Ensure compliance with banking regulations and internal cash handling procedures
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline cash management processes
- Assist in implementing and maintaining cash management systems
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with internal and external stakeholders
Qualifications :
- 2-3 years of experience in cash management or a related financial role
- Proficiency in cash handling and financial record-keeping
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
- Excellent mathematical skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Excel
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or related field (preferred)
- Cash handling certification (preferred)
- Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance requirements
- Experience with cash management systems
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrated integrity and reliability in handling sensitive financial information
