Job Summary
Responsibilities
Performance Test Planning & Strategy
- Analyze non-functional requirements (NFRs) and define performance test objectives.
- Develop comprehensive performance test strategies plans scenarios and scripts.
- Identify and document performance bottlenecks risks and improvement opportunities.
Test Design & Execution
- Develop and execute load stress endurance spike and scalability tests.
- Create performance test scripts using tools like JMeter LoadRunner NeoLoad Gatling etc.
- Simulate production-scale workloads and analyze application behaviour under various conditions.
Monitoring & Analysis
- Use APM tools (e.g. Dynatrace AppDynamics New Relic Grafana Kibana) to monitor:
- CPU
- Memory
- Response times
- Error rates
- Throughput
- Database performance
- Network bottlenecks
- Perform root-cause analysis and provide actionable performance tuning recommendations.
Collaboration
- Work closely with developers architects DBAs system engineers and DevOps teams.
- Provide performance optimization suggestions related to:
- Application code
- Database queries
- Infrastructure
- CI/CD pipelines
- Caching strategies
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare detailed performance reports and present findings to stakeholders.
- Document test configurations results bottlenecks and recommended optimizations.
Qualifications :
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science IT or related field.
- 3 to 8 years of hands-on experience in performance engineering and testing.
- Strong expertise with performance testing tools such as:
- JMeter LoadRunner NeoLoad Gatling
- Strong experience with APM and monitoring tools:
- Dynatrace AppDynamics Grafana Prometheus ELK
- Solid understanding of:
- HTTP/HTTPS APIs web services microservices
- Databases (SQL/NoSQL)
- Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- CI/CD pipelines
- Container technologies (Docker Kubernetes)
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Ability to work independently and mentor junior engineers.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to converse with various teams (PO Dev Release/Deployment Product Management Leadership team etc.)
