TITLE: Quality Specialist
LOCATION: Bedford Park IL (Argo Plant)
REPORTS TO: Quality Assurance Manager

Ingredion is hiring a highly organized and detail-orientedQuality Specialistto join ourmanufacturingoperations.This role focuses onmaintainingand improving theQuality Management System (QMS) managingCorrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)and investigations resolving customer complaints and conducting internal and external audits. The specialist will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with regulatory standards customer requirements and company policies.
What you will do:
Administerandmaintainthe facilitysQuality Management System (QMS) ensuring compliance with ISO GMP HACCP and other applicable standards.
Lead and documentCorrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) ensuringtimelyresolution of quality issues and effective root cause analysis.
Investigate and resolvecustomer complaints coordinating with production laboratory and management teams to implement corrective measures and improve customer satisfaction.
Plan conduct and report oninternal auditsof processes systems and documentation to ensure compliance andidentifyopportunities for improvement.
Supportexternal audits and inspectionsby regulatory agencies and customers ensuring readiness and compliance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives in quality systems and manufacturing processes.
Maintainaccurateand complete documentation of quality activities including audit reports CAPA recordsManagement of Changeand complaint investigations.
Provide training and guidance to employees on QMS requirements CAPA processes and audit readiness.
Administrator of the document control system.
Audit developand improve foodsafetyfood defenseand food fraud systems.
Perform and document site Verification/Validation activities including PRP verifications.
Who you are:
Bachelors degree in Food Science Chemistry Biology Engineering or related field.
25 years of experience in quality assurance or quality systems management preferably in food manufacturing or grain processing.
Strong knowledge ofQMS CAPA GMP HACCPFDAand ISO standards.
Experience in auditing (internal and external) and customer complaint resolution.
Excellent analytical problem-solving and organizational skills.
Strongwritten and oralcommunication skills for cross-functional collaboration and customer interaction.
Proventrack recordofdriving projects to completion.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple prioritiesand projectsin a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Proficiencywith Microsoft Office and familiarity with quality management software.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)
Experience ingrainwet millingpea or potatoprocessingand refiningindustries.
Certification in auditing (ISO Lead AuditorFSSC Lead AuditorInternal Auditoretc.).
Documented trainingin Preventive Controls (PCQI) Food Defense (FDQI) and HACCP.
Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies.

$69800.00-$93066.67 AnnualThis pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to responsibilities of the job education experience knowledge skills and abilities as well as internal equity alignment with market data and applicable bargaining agreement (if any).
Incentive Compensation:
As a part of the total compensation package this role may be eligible for the Ingredion Annual Incentive Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus.
