Description

JOB SUMMARY:

The primary responsibility of the Banquet Convention Porter is to provide courteous friendly service to customers or guests during meetings and banquet functions.

Age Requirement: 21

Work Cards Required: Health Card

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Set tables by arranging place setting in accordance with prescribed procedures.

  • Pick up litter or trash from public areas.

  • Strike or clean a banquet or function room by removing tables linens trash etc.

  • Meet attendance guidelines and adhere to regulatory departmental and company policies.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have worked or is currently working a customer service position

  • Work requires effective communication in English both verbal and written form in a professional manner.

  • Work requires schedule flexibility which may include nights weekends holidays and overtime as needed.

  • Must possess the skills to lift push or pull convention tables chairs and other convention equipment.

  • Must be able to work high-volume high-profile events not limited to New Years Eve or Super Bowl.

  • Must present a neat and professional appearance with good hygiene.

  • Work requires interactions with customers the public and co-workers.

  • Work requires teamwork with other staff members.

  • Must have worked or is currently working a customer service position

  • Work requires effective communication in English both verbal and written form in a professional manner.

  • Work requires schedule flexibility which may include nights weekends holidays and overtime as needed.
