Job Summary:
As a Project Engineer you will play a key role in the planning coordination and execution of projects involving beverage processing equipment and hygienic piping systems. You will work closely with the Project Manager and cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful delivery of projects that meet client specifications and industry standards.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning design and execution of process equipment and piping system projects.
- Develop and interpret P&IDs process flow diagrams piping layouts and equipment specifications.
- Coordinate with internal departments (design procurement fabrication and site team) to ensure smooth project execution.
- Supervise and support equipment installation piping fabrication and commissioning activities at customer sites.
- Ensure all work complies with GMP 3-A sanitary standards and client requirements.
- Prepare and maintain accurate technical documentation including BOMs datasheets and progress reports.
- Track project progress cost and schedule; highlight any deviations to the Project Manager.
- Liaise with clients vendors and subcontractors to resolve technical issues and ensure project alignment.
- Conduct site surveys FATs SATs and assist in project handover.
- Ensure safety and quality standards are adhered to on-site.
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering Chemical Engineering or a related
discipline. - Minimum 23 years of experience in project engineering preferably in the beverage food or dairy industry.
- Hands-on experience with sanitary process systems pumps valves heat exchangers and piping systems.
Strong understanding of P&ID development piping design and hygienic equipment layout. - Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD Inventor or equivalent.
- Good command of spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Strong organizational problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel to project sites when required.
Preferred Attributes:
- Familiarity with CIP systems pasteurizers and mixing/blending skids.
- Knowledge of relevant standards such as ASME BPE 3-A or EHEDG.
- Basic knowledge of PLC/automation systems is an advantage.
- Possession of a valid driving license and own transport is preferred.
