Join our Dispute Resolution & Litigation team in Sydney and work closely with Partners Kate Sambrook and Martin del Gallego on significant class actions and funded litigation. Youll contribute to strategy on large multiparty matters while building deep courtroom and briefmanagement skills in a practice that punches above its weight for quality of work and clients.
What you will do:
- Draft and settle pleadings affidavits and submissions for complex multiparty proceedings.
- Prepare evidence and manage interlocutory applications; appear with counsel where appropriate.
- Brief and liaise with counsel and experts; take ownership of workstreams and timelines.
- Run targeted discovery and evidence reviews (not just document review) focusing on issues that move the dial.
Engage with litigation funders (as relevant) clients and stakeholders on strategy and progress.
Collaborate in small highperforming matter teams and contribute to BD initiatives in the class actions space.
About you
Associatelevel litigator (25 PQE) with strong commercial disputes or class actions experience (open to adjacent bigticket litigation backgrounds).
You have high attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Youre a team player with a collaborative approach.
You have exceptional time management skills the ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities.
Youre highly proficient and experienced in performing critical analysis and solving problems.
Youre experienced in dealing with highly confidential information and you have the ability to operate with discretion where required.
Youre enthusiastic and personally motivated to perform continuous learning and self-improvement.
