Inspire Pupils at the Start of Lower Key Stage 2
We are seeking an enthusiastic dedicated and experienced Year 3 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Cambridge starting as soon as possible. This is an exciting opportunity to teach pupils as they transition into Key Stage 2 helping them consolidate foundational skills develop independence and foster a love of learning.
The successful candidate will take full responsibility for a Year 3 class delivering high-quality engaging lessons across the curriculum. The school values inclusive practice high expectations and pupil wellbeing and is looking for a teacher who can motivate and inspire pupils academically socially and emotionally.
You will join a collaborative KS2 team where shared planning professional reflection and support are encouraged. Leadership is approachable and committed to providing staff with the guidance and resources necessary to deliver excellent teaching and learning.
The Role
As a Year 3 Teacher you will plan deliver and assess lessons that challenge pupils and support progress for all abilities. You will use assessment effectively to track pupil development identify gaps and inform future teaching. Supporting pupils social emotional and behavioural growth will be a key aspect of the role helping them become resilient confident and independent learners.
You will work closely with teaching assistants colleagues and phase leaders to ensure continuity and high standards across Key Stage 2. You will also communicate regularly with parents and carers keeping them informed about their childs progress and achievements.
Key Responsibilities
Plan deliver and assess high-quality lessons across the Year 3 curriculum
Monitor and track pupil progress using assessment to inform planning
Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils including SEND and EAL learners
Maintain a safe structured and inclusive classroom environment
Promote positive behaviour resilience and independence
Collaborate with teaching assistants and KS2 colleagues
Communicate effectively with parents and carers
Participate in staff meetings CPD and whole-school initiatives
The Ideal Candidate
The successful applicant will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have experience teaching Key Stage 2 ideally Year 3
Be confident in curriculum delivery assessment and differentiation
Possess excellent classroom management and organisational skills
Be reflective proactive and adaptable
Be committed to inclusive practice and safeguarding
Have a positive professional approach to teamwork
Early Career Teachers are encouraged to apply and will be supported with mentoring.
