Role: Senior Manager – Global Social Media
Location: Chennai
Work Model: Hybrid

Role Summary
The Senior Manager Global Social Media will play a critical role in shaping how Cognizant
shows up across social platforms. This person will combine strategic thinking creative
storytelling and data-led decision-making to translate business priorities into clear
compelling social narratives. They will work closely with senior leaders communications
partners and cross-functional teams to drive consistency relevance and impact at scale.

Key Responsibilities
Social Media Strategy & Execution:
Lead day-to-day planning execution and optimization of social media content across key
platforms with a strong focus on LinkedIn.
Translate complex business technology and brand narratives into clear engaging and
human social content.
Own content calendars aligned to business priorities leadership moments campaigns
and global milestones.
Ensure consistent brand voice tone and visual standards across all social channels.
Leadership & Stakeholder Collaboration:
Partner closely with senior leaders communications team brand PR People Comms and
business stakeholders to shape social narratives.
Advise leaders on social presence content framing and storytelling approaches that
resonate with professional audiences.
Act as a trusted point of contact for cross-functional teams balancing business needs
with platform best practices.
Content Development & Storytelling:
Write edit and refine high-quality social copy for brand and executive channels.
Shape stories around innovation culture leadership partnerships and enterprise
transformation.
Collaborate with creative teams to guide visuals carousels short-form video concepts
and campaign assets.
Bring fresh ideas to elevate the brand’s presence informed by industry benchmarks and
platform trends.
Analytics Tools & Performance:
Use social media management tools such as Sprinkr to manage publishing reporting and
listening.
Analyze performance data to understand what’s working and what’s not and adjust
strategy accordingly.
Develop clear concise performance summaries that translate metrics into insights for
leadership.
Track engagement reach advocacy impact and campaign effectiveness against defined
goals.
Campaigns & Programs:
Support and execute global campaigns across employer branding executive visibility
partnerships events and innovation initiatives.
Contribute to employee advocacy and executive voice programs by developing content
frameworks templates and guidance.
Ensure campaigns are delivered on time with high quality and aligned to strategic intent.
Operational Excellence:
Manage multiple workstreams simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Anticipate risks flag issues early and propose solutions.
Maintain high standards for accuracy governance and platform compliance.

Must-Have Qualifications & Skills
8–10 years of experience in social media digital communications or content strategy
ideally within large enterprise or technology organizations.
Strong analytical mindset with experience using Sprinkr Hootsuite Sprout Social or
similar social management and analytics tools.
Excellent writing and editing skills with the ability to simplify complex ideas without losing
substance.
Proven ability to collaborate confidently with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
Strong creative instincts paired with data-driven decision-making.
Experience operating in matrixed global organizations.
Comfortable balancing strategy with hands-on execution.

strategically not just publish posts or manage calendars.
This is not a passive order-taking role. The person in this role must be comfortable pushing
back asking the right questions and shaping content rather than simply reacting to
requests.
This is not a role focused only on metrics reporting. Data matters but the expectation is to
interpret insights and apply them to improve storytelling and performance.
This is not limited to one stakeholder or function. The role requires working across
leadership communications brand PR People Comms and business teams globally.
This is not a short-term campaign-only position. The focus is on building consistent long-
term social narratives that strengthen the brand over time.
This is not a junior content writer role. While strong writing is essential the role requires
judgment prioritization and the ability to connect content to broader business goals.
This is not a role that operates in isolation. Success depends on collaboration context and
strong cross-functional relationships
