Job Opportunity: YO Makerspace Trade AssistantCompany: Employment Options Inc trading as Youth OptionsLocation: LocationPosition: YO Makerspace Trade AssistantPosition ObjectiveThis hands-on role is designed to work with young people who may be disengaged or living with a disability within an experiential learning environment. Your goal will be to engage participants in activities and supports aligned with their individual interests assisting them in meeting their personal Duties and Accountabilities Engage participants in planning and executing practical projects/activities based on their interests to develop a diverse range of skills abilities and knowledge. Foster a positive learning environment where participants feel safe comfortable actively involved in decision-making and can fully engage in activities. Provide mentoring services that promote independence facilitate choice and assist in achieving participant goals. Involve participants in decisions about their services considering their individual physical and emotional needs. Contribute to the monitoring and review of individual participant Passion for working with young people including those who are disengaged or living with disabilities. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to foster an inclusive and engaging learning environment. Experience with mentoring and supporting individual growth and development. Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt activities to meet diverse us in making a positive impact on the lives of young people!
