SUPERINTENDENT PHARMACIST (Regulatory Affairs)

One of our clients is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced
Superintendent Pharmacist to join their
Regulatory Affairs function based in
Lagos Nigeria.
This role will provide strategic regulatory direction and oversight for the clients
branded portfolio across
Nigeria Ghana and Mozambique ensuring regulatory compliance business continuity and successful product registration and lifecycle activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage regulatory activities for assigned markets (Nigeria Ghana Mozambique).
- Develop and execute regulatory strategies supporting new registrations and post-approval submissions.
- Ensure regulatory documentation complies with local requirements and internal procedures.
- Maintain strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and environments across assigned markets.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (commercial supply chain quality) and global regulatory teams to support product development and lifecycle management.
- Manage submission planning timelines forecasting and regulatory database updates.
- Liaise with distributors/partners and follow up on submission progress and approvals.
- Ensure compliance with licensing inspection requirements and local board of health obligations.
Role Accountability
- Maintain the validity and integrity of all product licences in assigned markets.
- Ensure regulatory compliance to protect market revenue and support operational excellence.
- Report directly to the Sub-Saharan African Cluster Regulatory Lead.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy (required).
- Minimum 5 years Regulatory Affairs experience (human medicines preferred).
- Strong product registration experience and regulatory knowledge within Nigeria Ghana and Mozambique.
- Proven ability to manage complex regulatory issues in a matrix environment.
- Strong leadership communication negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Knowledge of CMC submissions quality systems audits and inspections
