JOB SUMMARY
Plan coordinate direct and design overall functions of technology and information systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Participates in strategic and operational planning to achieve business goals by fostering innovation prioritizing IT initiatives and coordinating the evaluation deployment and management of current and future IT systems across the division.
Identifies opportunities for the appropriate and cost-effective investment of financial resources including staffing outsourcing purchasing and in-house development
Leads the development of IT goals objectives and operating procedures
Assists in the development tracking and controlling the information the IT annual operating and capital budgets
Assesses and makes recommendations on the improvement or re-engineering of the IT organization
Promotes and oversees strategic relationship between internal IT resources and external entities including vendors and partner organizations
Coordinates and facilitates consultation with stakeholders to define business and system requirements for new technology implementations
Evaluates and develops business case justifications and cost/benefits analyses for IT spending and initiatives
Acts as an advocate for the companys IT vision through regular written and in person communications
Ensures continuous timely delivery of IT services through oversight of service level agreements with end users and monitoring of IT systems performance
Coaches staff through mentoring and open and ongoing communications. Ensures timely submission of reports performance reviews and other materials required to support effective department and corporate operations
Strategic ability and the ability see and anticipate future consequences and trends accurately
Paint credible picture and visions of possibilities in order to gain buy-in for change
Well engaged and respected across many business domains outside of IT
Deep business acumen beyond the technical realm
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
Excellent communication skills
Advanced PC skills including training and knowledge of Jabils software packages in an integrated system such as SAP.
Ability to read analyze and interpret general business periodicals professional journals technical procedures or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports business correspondence and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers clients customers and the general public.
Leadership/people-management skills
Strong knowledge of global and regional logistics operations and industry.
Strong proficiency in determining logistics requirements to enable companys business goals and objectives with ability to devise and implement strategy to achieve targets.
Strong financial and analytical ability. Proficiency in managing business analytics to determine optimum company footprint.
Strong knowledge of international direct and indirect taxes as well as global customs regimes.
Proven track record of successful change management accomplishments implementing and management continuous productivity and cost reduction programs.
Strong and convincing communication skills.
Proficiency in use of personal computers Microsoft Office products (Excel Word and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills required.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelors Degree required in Computer Science or Management Information Systems or IT experience equivalent. Masters Degree preferred.
Ten (10) to (15) years work-related experience required
Minimum of 5 years management experience required.
Or an equivalent combination of education training or experience.
Role is instrumental in managing the application solutions and system landscape for the supply chain capability. This is inclusive of both internally and externally facing systems. Management of software engineering and SDLC supporting enhancements deployments and run and maintain.
