Loudon County Trucking / Purdy Brothers is an always-growing trucking company looking for a results-driven Driver Recruiter who lives to close deals stack commissions and fill trucks. If youre motivated by money competition and hitting big numbers this role is built for you.
The Driver Recruiter is responsible for the full-cycle recruitment of CDL drivers from lead generation to onboarding. This role plays a critical part in maintaining fleet staffing levels while ensuring candidates align with company safety standards culture and operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Source screen and recruit qualified CDL drivers using multiple channels (job boards social media referrals etc.)
- Manage inbound driver leads and conduct outbound recruiting calls
- Pre-qualify drivers based on experience MVR PSP and company hiring criteria
- Clearly communicate pay packages benefits home time and expectations
- Coordinate interviews orientation scheduling and onboarding documentation
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the applicant tracking system
- Follow up consistently with candidates to improve conversion and reduce fall-off
- Work closely with safety operations and HR teams to ensure smooth hiring
- Track recruiting metrics such as lead volume cost-per-hire and time-to-fill
- Support driver retention initiatives and referral programs
Qualifications :
- Proven experience recruiting CDL drivers or a strong sales background
- Competitive mindset you want to be at the top of the leaderboard
- Excellent phone skills and the ability to close on the first call
- Comfortable handling rejection and high call volume
- Organized persistent and self-motivated
- ATS or CRM experience preferred
- DOT knowledge is a plus but we can teach it
