Learn more about the SEED Campus here: Davey Tree Expert Company is offering a seasonal student internship opportunity in the Davey Institutes Diagnostic Laboratory located in Kent Ohio. The Davey Tree Expert Company is the North American leader in residential tree care utility right-of-way management commercial landscape services and urban forestry / natural resource consulting with operations throughout the US and Canada. The Davey Institute supports Daveys North American operations through research and development environmental programs technical support and education and training.
Job Duties
- Process and log in plant soil and insect samples.
- Lab organization and cleaning.
- Lab equipment maintenance.
- Assist with diagnosing insect and disease problems of plants.
- Computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft programs (Outlook Word PowerPoint and Excel).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills time management and attention to detail.
Qualifications
Qualifications: Enrollment or future enrollment in a relevant college program such as biology botany forestry entomology environmental science horticulture plant pathology or related field.
