Halifax Water is inviting applications for one (1) Term Full-time Water Quality Inspector (approx. 6 months) in the Environment Health and Safety Department. Responsibilities

The Water Quality Inspector will perform both routine and response water quality sampling processing and analysis in source water tributaries and lakes throughout the treatment process and in the distribution system. Investigate internal and external water quality complaints and issues and recommend methods for resolution. A copy of the full job description can be found on our corporate website at

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications for this position include an Undergraduate degree in engineering sciences (or related field) with an emphasis on environmental sciences water quality and/or municipal servicing (water wastewater stormwater); or a Technical Diploma with 2 years experience in water quality chemistry municipal servicing or related field. Along with 3 years practical experience in water quality and quantity monitoring sampling research problem solving laboratory and field testing and analysis. One must also possess as valid Nova Scotia Drivers License. As part of the conditional offer process candidates may be subject to satisfactory pre-employment screening.
