The Construction Scheduler will oversee and coordinate schedules for all phases of construction projects ensuring that project timelines are created monitored and peer reviewed. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and the ability to anticipate and mitigate potential delays. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers engineers and subcontractors to develop realistic and efficient schedules that align with project goals and client expectations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules including all phases of construction.
- Collaborate with project managers engineers and contractors to establish timelines.
- Monitor project progress and identify potential delays.
- Implement strategies to mitigate scheduling conflicts and delays.
- Communicate schedule updates and changes to all stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with project deadlines and client expectations.
- Utilize scheduling software to track and report on project timelines.
- Coordinate with procurement teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
- Analytical skills to evaluate project progress and make schedule adjustments as necessary
- Attention to detail and accuracy in preparing schedules
- Problem-solving abilities to mitigate potential schedule delays and issues
- Collaborative mindset to work effectively with project teams and stakeholders
- Knowledge of construction processes and best practices
Education/Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management Engineering or related field
- Proficient in scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or MS Project
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Prior experience in construction scheduling or project management
Travel Requirements:
- Flexibility to travel on short notice for urgent business needs to attend meetings trainings and events.â
- Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance during business trips.â
- Compliance with company travel policies and procedures.â
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit stand and walk for long periods of time.â
- Ability to use a computer phone printer scanner and other office equipment.â
- Visual acuity for detailed work and computer useâ
- Ability to lift carry and move up to 25 pounds of files documents and materials.
