The opportunity

We are seeking an AI Technical Lead to spearhead our AI projects and initiatives within the MENA Technology team. As a visionary in AI development you will be instrumental in driving the strategic direction of our AI projects. You will join the Digital and Emerging Technologies team taking charge of designing developing and deploying sophisticated AI solutions that are intelligent scalable and adaptable often utilizing cloud platforms like Azure and on-premises AI solutions using open source / proprietary AI tools / technologies.

This role is ideal for self-motivated and highly organized individuals who are eager to learn adopt new technologies and methodologies and innovate to enhance our technology offerings. We are on the lookout for creative thinkers who are ready to bring fresh perspectives to our AI capabilities.

Your key responsibilities

• Lead the design development and deployment of cutting-edge AI solutions focusing on areas such as generative AI natural language processing document intelligence computer vision deep learning machine learning and reinforcement learning.
• Manage large datasets for training machine learning / deep learning models ensuring data quality and integrity.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines for efficient data processing augmentation and transformation.
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the Microsoft technology stack including Azure services and tools relevant to AI development.
• Offer expert guidance to business units on the integration of AI technologies to enhance and streamline business processes serving as a technical lead in the adoption and implementation of AI solutions.
• Keep abreast of the latest AI advancements incorporating new research models and techniques to advance our technology solutions.
• Direct the creation refinement and adoption of of generative AI models preferably Azure Open AI.
• Lead and mentor a team of AI developers and engineers fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
• Engage with cross-functional teams including data scientists engineers designers and subject matter experts to foster innovation and deliver successful AI projects.
• Tailor AI solution performance to meet diverse use cases balancing resource consumption response times and scalability.
• Uphold ethical AI practices ensuring compliance with data privacy laws and addressing bias and fairness in AI applications.
• Produce detailed documentation establish best practices and develop training resources for internal teams and stakeholders.

Skills and attributes for success

To qualify for the role you must have

• B.E/ MCA/ MS / or equivalent degree in Computer Science discipline.
• Minimum 6 8 years of experience in IT industry with at least 4 years of experience in AI.
• Proven track record of leading AI projects from inception to successful deployment.
• Strong programming skills preferably in Python and experience with machine learning frameworks.
• Hands on experience with relational databases like SQL Server / My SQL / PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with cloud services like AWS Azure or Google Cloud Platform for deploying machine learning models and leveraging cloud-based machine learning services.
• Experience with Docker Kubernetes or similar tools for containerization and orchestration of machine learning applications.
• Knowledge / Experience in AI frameworks and technologies such as GANs transformers and reinforcement learning.
• Hands-on experience in developing Generative AI solutions using Large Language models preferably Azure OpenAI.
• Familiarity with latest Large Language Models exposure in deploying LLMs in an on-premises environment and expertise in handling multilingual support within LLMs.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

Ideally youll also have

Industry recognized certifications on AI / ML / Deep Learning.
