We have a vacancy for a Senior Trade Compliance Manager in our Global Clinical Supplies Team. The role can be based in a number of our Latin America locations and can be fully home based.
A day in the life:
- Develop Trade Compliance Import/Export strategy for each assigned study.
- Ensure proficient communication and interaction with internal and external collaborators to coordinate efforts provide recommendations and issue alerts to avoid obstacles during the import/export processes.
- Ensure assigned studies are always in compliance with Trade Compliance local regulations company requirements and client needs.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Trade Compliance and Import/Export matters for assigned studies.
- Participate in bidding and/or bid defense opportunities regarding the addition of Trade Compliance and Import/Export services.
- Stay up to date with new processes and regulations concerning Trade Compliance and Import/Export.
- Lead process improvement initiatives.
- Provides coaching mentorship and guidance to more junior team members
- Lead training in Trade Compliance and Import/Export subjects to internal collaborators.
Keys to success:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic/vocational qualification
- Previous experience that provides the knowledge skills and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 8years).
- Prior experience in clinical research specifically in clinical supplies import/export is required.
In some cases an equivalency consisting of a combination of appropriate education training and/or directly related experience will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Solid understanding of import/export operations local and global regulations and clinical trial supply operations
- Excellent interpersonal planning organizational problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
- Sharp focus on customers and attention to detail
- Ability to work as team as well as work independently with minimum mentorship
- Ability to lead and mentor team members
- Proficiency in English (reading writing and speaking)
